Your Role as an Associate Media Planner:
The Associate Media Planner is responsible for planning, executing, optimizing, and supporting paid media campaigns across digital and print channels. This hybrid role blends media buying with operational excellence — managing campaign setup, vendor coordination, creative trafficking, reporting, and billing.
The Associate Media Planner ensures campaigns launch accurately, perform against KPIs, and follow proper tracking and financial processes.
This position is entirely remote, though some occasional travel to team or client meetings may be required. This position reports to the Media Director.
As an Associate Media Planner at SFC Group, you will:
- Support development and execution of paid media campaigns across search, social, display, video, programmatic, and print
- Build and optimize campaigns in Google/Bing Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, and DSPs
- Conduct audience, keyword, and competitive research
- Monitor pacing and performance; recommend optimizations to improve ROI
- Execute testing strategies across audiences, bidding, and creative
- Schedule internal and client media meetings and monthly metrics calls
- Maintain media status sheets, schedules, deadlines, and vendor spec sheets
- Update media plans and share changes with internal teams and creative partners
- Save contracts, media documentation, and monthly reporting files in shared systems
- Partner with analytics and creative teams to ensure tracking and timelines are met
- Traffic digital and print assets based on vendor specs and timelines
- Ensure tracking codes are created and applied accurately across all placements
- Share tracking with creative agencies and verify link setup
- Troubleshoot creative delivery or tracking issues with vendors and agencies
- Collect vendor performance reports and distribute to media team
- Support dashboard reporting and KPI tracking
- Translate results into insights and action steps
- Create SOWs; manage Quickbase projects and invoicing schedules
- Track PO numbers and input VBEs for timely vendor payments
- Code and reconcile vendor invoices; provide job codes when needed
- Confirm billing accuracy against contracts and media plans

About the Role:
The Associate Media Director independently leads the development of cross-channel media plans for multiple clients working closely with the Media Director to ensure strategically sound and efficient media recommendations are presented to our healthcare clients. In this role you will also closely manage the implementation of the approved plans, delegating key tasks to the Associate Media Planner and Media Project Manager. You will have experience with media channels that target both healthcare providers and patients including print, digital, social, DOOH, OOH, CTV, and point-of-care (POC) and be at the forefront of emerging media channels opportunities.
As an Associate Media Director at SFC Group, you will:
- Develop media plans for key healthcare clients and oversee the execution of client work
- Act as primary internal contact on assigned work and, at times, as a key client contact as well
- Oversee the development, execution, and optimization of the media planning process and bring recommendations to evolve and adjust as needed
- Lead creation of media PowerPoint slides for internal and client presentations
- Help the team analyze data and strategic input that informs channel allocation recommendations
- Create and present effective recommendations and proactive POVs internally and externally
- Meet with media partners to understand the media landscape and act as the channel expert for your clients
- Work with internal analytics partners to help clients demonstrate ROI and media efficiency of all media plans
- Assess and recommend software, tools, and resource needs for the department
- Oversee the billing process and management of assigned media budgets
The qualifications we’re looking for:
- 8+ years of strategic media planning experience, with experience specifically in the life sciences/healthcare vertical
- Knowledge of life sciences data providers, media publishers and well versed in industry parameters
- Deep understanding of data and technology specific to the industry, with a proven ability to leverage both to achieve business goals
- A history of delivering strong media recommendations that help the agency maintain and grow media business with clients
- A passion for bringing innovative solutions to clients
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills with ability to translate data into insights
- Ability to translate and present complex ideas in a simple and compelling way
- Strong problem-solving abilities and an openness to challenge the ‘status quo’ to find the best solution
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel and PowerPoint) as well as other industry-specific software

The Account Director will work within our vibrant and collaborative client services team building a true partnership with our clients, coordinating strategic, creative, and digital teams to develop and manage the planning and execution of multiple projects simultaneously.
With your knack for marketing strategy and account management you will be a conduit between the agency’s internal teams and the client. Your job is to ensure that you have a thorough understanding of the client’s business and leverage that understanding to produce strategic plans and manage the tactical execution of marketing initiatives. Highly motivated and proactive, you will be an integral member of our service delivery team.
This position is entirely remote, though some occasional travel to team or client meetings will be required.
