Media Director

About the role:
The Media Director oversees a team of experienced media professionals delivering strategically sound and efficient media recommendations to our healthcare clients. You will need to have experience with media channels that target both healthcare providers and patients, including print, digital, social, and point-of-care (POC), and be at the forefront of emerging media channel opportunities.
Overview of key job functions:
- Develop media plans for our healthcare clients and oversee the execution of all client work
- Act as primary client contact on key assignments
- Oversee the development, execution, and optimization of the media planning process and bring recommendations to evolve and optimize as needed
- Help your team analyze data and strategic input that informs channel allocation recommendations
- Create and present effective recommendations and proactive POVs internally and externally
- Meet with media partners to understand the media landscape and act as the channel expert for your clients
- Work with internal analytics partners to help clients demonstrate ROI and media efficiency of all media plans
- Assess and recommend software, tool, and resource needs for the department
- Oversee billing process and management of assigned media budgets
The qualifications we’re looking for:
- 10+ years of strategic media planning experience, specifically in the life sciences/healthcare vertical
- Knowledge of life sciences data providers and media publishers and well versed in industry parameters
- Deep understanding of data and technology specific to the industry, with a proven ability to leverage both to achieve business goals
- Experience participating in new business pitches with a history of growing media business
- A passion for bringing innovative solutions to clients
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills with ability to translate data into insights
- Ability to translate and present complex ideas in a simple and compelling way
- Strong problem-solving abilities and an openness to challenge the “status quo” to find the best solution
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel and PowerPoint) as well as other industry-specific software
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and work under pressure to deliver high-quality work within set timelines
- Ability to manage people and oversee work in a completely remote environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

ACCOUNT DIRECTOR

As a result of our tremendous growth, we are adding a full-time Account Director to our team.
About the Role:
The Account Director will work within our vibrant and collaborative client services team building a true partnership with our clients, coordinating strategic, creative, and digital teams to develop and manage the planning and execution of multiple projects simultaneously.
With your knack for marketing strategy and account management you will be a conduit between the agency’s internal teams and the client. Your job is to ensure that you have a thorough understanding of the client’s business and leverage that understanding to produce strategic plans and manage the tactical execution of marketing initiatives. Highly motivated and proactive, you will be an integral member of our service delivery team.
This position is entirely remote, though some occasional travel to team or client meetings will be required.
As an Account Director at SFC Group, you will:
- Develop and grow strong relationships across client and internal teams
- Support new business development and seek out and create organic growth opportunities
- Develop strategies to ensure that clearly defined objectives, messages, and deliverables are included in all work
- Orchestrate budgets and timelines, communicating project parameters and deadlines to a diverse team and ensuring that deadlines are met efficiently
- Establish sound and effective working relationships and resolve conflicts or roadblocks to either the relationship or the completion of assigned projects
- Remain flexible and accessible to clients; respond to requests in a quick and timely manner. Draft timely conference reports, briefs, and more
- Work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, creative team environment
- Conduct internal and external client presentations
- Proactively generate business building ideas for the client and create opportunities to expand the agency’s business
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the life science and healthcare industries understanding the target audience, business model, trends, etc.
Skills/Experience Required:
- Ability to understand clients’ business goals, to think strategically and analytically
- Top-notch verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent listening, negotiation, interpersonal, and presentation skills
- Strong attention to detail and project management skills
- Adept at using project management processes, tools, and software
- Must be creative, innovative, and proactive
- Ability to monitor and manage client’s budgets and the team’s financial performance
- Cross functional team collaboration and leadership
- Must have experience independently managing projects
- Able to work extended hours when work volumes/tight deadlines demand
- Must be able to confidently and professionally communicate with clients and internal stakeholders
- Proven ability to work remotely
Skills/Experience Preferred:
- 5-10 years of healthcare marketing agency experience (eg, pharma, diagnostics, medical devices, direct-to-physician, etc.) and knowledge of the regulatory process
- Experience in communicating and “translating” complex scientific and technical information
- Knowledge of Veeva platform a plus

PROJECT MANAGER

As a result of our tremendous growth, we are adding a full-time contract-based project manager to our team.
Your Role as a Project Manager:
The Project Manager will work within our vibrant and collaborative client services team building a true partnership with our clients, coordinating strategic, creative, and digital teams to develop and manage the planning and execution of multiple projects simultaneously.Your job will be to ensure that projects are completed to the highest standard. At SFC Group this means precise, high-quality, and innovative solutions that are delivered on time, on-brief and on-budget for our clients.
This position is entirely remote, though some occasional travel to team or client meetings may be required. This position reports to the Client Services lead.
A Project Manager at SFC Group:
- Ensures smooth management of projects end to end, from concepting to project roll-out, with ownership of timelines, financial reporting, resourcing, and client facing communications
- Serves as the primary contact for projects within the agency, maintaining awareness of status, next steps, and challenges at all times
- Optimizes work of cross-functional project teams through close working relationships and strong communication
- Operates proactively to ensure all stakeholders are engaged and all project phases are completed efficiently, on time and on budget
- Takes initiative in learning/understanding each client’s products and services, culture/ethos and strategic marketing and positioning strategy
- Possesses exceptional interpersonal, organizational and time management skills
- Leverages excellent communication skills that can be individually adapted to get the best out of all stakeholders – internal or external
- Writes clear and detailed project documentation including statements of work, estimates, change orders and creative briefs
- Develops project plans/timelines
- Recognizes the need for adherence to process while also possessing the flexibility to adapt to changes along the way
- Resolves challenging project issues with a collaborative, solutions-focused approach, while maintaining a positive outlook
- Manages third party vendor contributions to projects
You are:- Familiar with healthcare agency work and workflows including project initiation, requirements gathering, budgeting, project tracking and reporting, and quality assurance/li>
- A motivated self-starter who can work autonomously yet still lead a virtual team to success
- Passionate about organization

Skills/Experience Required:- Minimum 3 years of project management experience and healthcare marketing experience (e.g. pharma, diagnostics, medical devices, direct-to-physician, etc.) and knowledge of the regulatory process
- Adept at using project management processes, tools and software; knowledge of Workamajig and Veeva platforms a plus
- Project management qualifications strongly preferred, PMP desired
- Must be creative, innovative and proactive
- Must have experience independently managing projects
- Able to work extended hours when work volumes/tight deadlines
