Luck Is Nice. But Being Damn Good Is Better.
My dad always said, “I’d rather be lucky than good any day.” And honestly? He had a point. Luck is a beautiful thing when it happens. A surprise client win, a last-minute reprieve from a deadline, or an idea that magically strikes at just the right moment. Who doesn’t love a little cosmic intervention?
But here’s where I differ: Good is never good enough.
I pride myself on being better. And let’s be real — luck doesn’t land you repeat business. Luck doesn’t save a struggling brand. Luck sure as hell doesn’t make clients come back, time and again, because they know you’ll get the job done right.
That’s skill. That’s experience. That’s knowing exactly what to do when the brand’s on fire and the agency before you just fumbled the extinguisher.

We’re the agency that bails brands out
You’d be shocked by how many clients call us because their other agency didn’t deliver. Campaigns stalled, messaging missed the mark, and branding fell flat. And then — boom — SFC Group swoops in, gets our hands dirty, and turns the whole thing around.
I love a lucky break, but being damn good gets you further.

Why being the “go-to” matters more than being lucky
- Luck is winning the pitch. Skill is keeping the business.
- Luck is having one big idea. Skill is having ten backups when the first one doesn’t work.
- Luck is a happy accident. Skill is knowing how to pull off a miracle — on demand.
And the truth is, the best agencies don’t just wait for good fortune. We create it.
So yeah, I’ll take a lucky break when it comes my way. But I don’t count on them. I don’t need to. Because when you’re this good, luck is just a bonus.
